Katie is a travel advisor with Unlocking The Magic Travel, a Realtor, and, most importantly, the proud mom of her daughter, Sloane.
Her passion for travel comes from her own family’s experiences navigating the world with a medically complex child. Sloane has Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, a brain injury, Autism, and is medically fragile, which means every trip requires extra planning, preparation, and flexibility. Their family travels with medical equipment, medications, feeding supplies, specialized seating, mobility devices, and other essential medical items.
Over the years, Katie has become experienced in helping families plan travel for children with special needs and medically complex conditions because she understands that no two children are the same. From obtaining physician documentation and navigating TSA with medical liquids and supplies to flying with oxygen equipment, wheelchairs, suction machines, and specialized diets, she has lived these experiences firsthand.
Katie specializes in helping families with special needs and medically complex children plan stress-free vacations. Whether it’s Disney, Universal, cruises, or family getaways, she’s dedicated to making travel easier, more accessible, and more enjoyable for the entire family.
